Acupuncture

Our team of Acupuncturists believe in supporting physical, mental, and emotional well-being through the art of acupuncture.

Nourish Life

At the heart of Chinese medicine lies a philosophy that dances with the harmony of life, seeking to elevate our mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Acupuncture sees things holistically, where nutrition, lifestyle, herbs, acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, and gua sha blend seamlessly to address unique needs. We’ll guide you on a journey towards your full potential, and you’ll revel in the bliss of feeling fantastic.

Our team of Acupuncturists are passionate about supporting you on your journey to reach optimal mental, physical and reproductive health. Together, the team at Oak Integrative combines our knowledge of modern medicine with an in-depth understanding of classical Chinese medicine to provide truly personalized and transformational care.

Don’t worry about those tiny needles! Acupuncture is relatively painless. Patients often feel very relaxed during the session, and some even nap (dubbed the acu-nap!).

Each patient’s protocol is customized based on an in-depth clinical assessment, and we adapt and fine-tune treatments based on the ever-evolving concerns and needs discussed during each appointment.

Treatments

Menstruation, Fertility, and Menopause

Acupuncture can treat a variety of hormone imbalances, including menstrual problems, menopause and optimizing fertility.

Acupuncture can help decrease or relieve premenstrual syndrome symptoms, including pain, mood changes, cramping, and difficulties with sleep, among others. It can help support fertility by regulating menstrual cycles, restoring ovulation, and improving sperm and egg health. The menopausal transition can also benefit from acupuncture to restore hormone balance and minimize symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, and sleep problems.

Pregnancy and Postpartum

Pregnancy is an exciting time, but it may come with discomfort or concerns. Acupuncture can help support a healthy pregnancy and alleviate unwanted symptoms like nausea, back pain, heartburn, migraines, insomnia and more. It can also help with breech presentation and preparing the body for a smooth childbirth.

After the baby is born, Acupuncture can support milk supply, mood and postpartum recovery.

Treatments

Mental health: Anxiety, PTSD, Stress and Depression

Acupuncture is an effective way to address and support your mental health. It is a ‘talk optional’ treatment, so you only need to share what you feel comfortable sharing. Acupuncture can be used with or without counselling, other mental health therapies and medications.

Headache, Migraines and Musculoskeletal Pain

Acupuncture can successfully treat tension headaches, cluster headaches, migraines, and many forms of body pain. One study found patients with chronic headaches experienced the equivalent of 22 fewer days of headaches per year with acupuncture.
