We are stronger than we know

In life we face difficult obstacles, inwardly or outwardly, that challenge the core of who we are. These obstacles can cause us to develop self-protective patterns that, while helpful in some respects, can also create new problems. Whether you are facing an outward problem such as a difficult situation or communication struggles, or an inner problem like anxiety or depression, I am here to support you in seeing difficulties from a new perspective, and to work through them in a way that feels energizing, and more in tune with the person you really are.

We are all destined for struggles in life, but also for growth and change. I view counselling as a special type of relationship, one focused on supporting your growth toward becoming a more whole and authentic version of yourself, complete with all your depth and complexity. We are stronger than we know, and this strength is best expressed during our most difficult times.

I work with people of all backgrounds and identities and bring a warmhearted acceptance of all people to my practice. I highly value authenticity and working through barriers that hinder the freedom of being your whole self. Whatever brings us to meet, you can expect me to meet you with warmth and curiosity.

My practice at a glance: my approach is integrative, meaning I pull from a wide range of theoretical tools that I have acquired. Some of my go-to's are internal family systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), positive psychology, and emotion-focused/attachment-based therapy. I tend to find myself supporting clients with establishing healthy boundaries, addressing codependency, redefining self-worth, improving communication, managing anxiety, depression, symptoms of trauma, and navigating relationship difficulties. I help with a wide range of other concerns!
